Place was nice but food took a little long to come out tho I had a fish but it was a bit dry like if it was cooked long the rice was good tho and everything we had there as well
Excellent typical Puertorican food. I've been following some of "El Jibaro's" recipes over the years and the flavor is on point, just like grandma used to cook. So, if you want to eat real authentic food with a little twist, this is place. Parking lot across the street of the restaurant strip. Pay for the day and enjoy the beauty of Old San Juan when you're done eating. Guaranteed you will need to walk off the meal.
I ordered the Pernil Kan Kan for one person while my Aunt/Uncle ordered the one for two.. It was mouth watering and so delicious. The drinks were also good. Rafael was our waiter and he was by far the best in tending to our needs.. I will definitely pay this place a visit in the near future. If ever in Old San Juan you must visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Traditional Puerto Rican food..
Delicious typical Puerto Rican food made with care and quality. We started the bacalaitos and mojitos. The bacalaitos were perfectly fried- crispy edges and soft center. Yummy salty crispy goodness! I had the bingo go with shrimp and garlic sauce. The mofongo was subtly sweet and the garlic sauce was creamy with slightly cooked yellow and red bell peppers and red onions. The plate came with a simple salad of greens and tomatoes. My husband had the corner beef. It came with potatoes and also a small salad. It was salty meaty goodness! The food here tastes fresh and light. We were fueled for our afternoon at SanSe!
Wow the best of Old San Juan to the world and show the best gastronomy of the island and of course the owner is humble and talented! 100% approved and highly recommended. I try the mofongo with pork fried meat with a LOT of Garlic that how I like it and homemade Mavi make it from scratch!
